Theresa, I know it can get a bit overwhelming but I think you can still subscribe to groups that you want to keep track of. Or you can join the group and then set your email preferences to have an e-mail sent to your Internet email whenever a certain type of content (that you can choose) is published by each group (you can set the type of content individually for each group of which you're a member).
